What is 'Age OK!' about? |

Why is dealing with the Age Regulations important? |
| Age discrimination can affect employees of any age, not just the young and old.
CIPD research shows that age discrimination persists in many organisations with 59% of respondents reporting that they have been disadvantaged by age discrimination at work. Since 1st October 2006, it has been unlawful to discriminate on the grounds of age. The new Age Regulations have resulted in wide reaching changes to practices across all organisations. And organisations who haven't complied with the new regulations may face expensive court cases where there is no upper limit to compensation.
What's more,
employers could be responsible for the acts of employees who discriminate on grounds of age. This makes it important to train staff about the regulations.
